Please call us at least 12 hours before your session time to reschedule.
If you email us, make sure that you receive a reply to confirm that we have received your email to cancel and reschedule your session. Sometimes email gets lost. If you have not heard from us, please call to make sure that we are not expecting you at your next session.

We understand that some events can’t be predicted and it is not always possible to give at least 12 hours notice. In this situation, we will do our best to accommodate your makeup session.
Rescheduled session occur in the same calendar month. They are not rescheduled to the next month. These occur in the Windang location and on Saturdays and Sundays.

If you think you will not be able to reschedule your session, you can also choose to give your session to someone else (your mother, father, cousin, grandmother, sibling, neighbour, friend, etc) in the same session. A missed session can be someone else’s opportunity!

Group Session:

If you decide that you are not able to make your group session for a particular week, that is fine. Let us know that we will not be expecting you, and you can join us in the next week as usual.

We will know in advance, and will contact you asap to reschedule another lesson in the same week or the same month.

We simply move your session to another day in the week.

We ask that the minimum notice period to cancel your sessions is 7 days before your next scheduled session. We have kept this as short as possible. The reason for this is that time slots and teachers are reserved for you in advance. Before your next session and within those 7 days – Peter plans work, may work on transposing or composing specific sheet music for you, or other preparation that is individual for your session.

While we would like to have the minimum period to be the day before to make it convenient for you, our priority is respect of time, and the work that is put into preparing for your next session. We don’t teach out of a text book that has been prewritten, because every student is unique and has different goals. Each session is tailoured specific to you so you reach your goals faster based on your ability.
If you have paid in advance for sessions you are no longer able to commit to, the remaining balance will be refunded taking into account the 7 days notice.

Group Sessions:

If you decide that you are no longer able to commit to group sessions, and cancel midway, that is fine - just let us know that we should not be expecting you. Group class sessions enrolment reserves your place for the entire time and to respect that you have made the decision to commit and take a place.

Please note that if your sessions are at the Anita's Theatre Complex, there is a $10 fee for any 30 minute session that is paused for that month, and $20 for hour sessions. The remainder of the sessions will be credited to you.

We actually never have this experience because we send out reminders the day before and our students or their parents respect our time and let us know.

In the event that this does happen: Your time is valuable, and so is my time. If you miss your appointment without a 12 hour notice, you lose that time. If you don't show, or are not at your home, you will still be charged in full. In turn, we honour our appointments.
For students that have opted in for home lessons, please factor in +-15 minutes around your start time for unpredicatable events that can happen. We appreciate that you would like home lessons to save you 30-45 minutes of your travel/organisation time.

To respect that have been reserved and planned for your session, there is no refund or makeup sessions for missed sessions that were not rescheduled at least 12 hours before the session date and time. Missed sessions must still be paid for.

Yes of course. Please let us know before we send out the monthly invoices at the end of the month before your holiday/pause.

If you prefer, you can also choose to give your session to someone else (your mother, father, cousin, grandmother, sibling, neighbour, friend, etc) in the same session. A missed session can be someone else’s opportunity!

There is no refund for missed sessions. Group class sessions enrolment reserves your place for the entire time and it is up to you whether you decide to attend or not. The group sessions still go ahead.

We can reschedule your sessions for when you get back and do extra ones in the same week. Sessions are not moved to the next month.

We understand that delays happen that may be out of your control. Arrive as soon as you can, and the session will start as soon as you arrive. Please note that the session will still end at the same end time of your reserved time slot. It is not possible to extend past this due to other student session already scheduled - however if we can - we will definitely be ok with this.
